Liza has over 25 years experience working with the private, public and NGO sectors across Asia, Europe and Latin America. Her experience and expertise lies in:

  • China; at the interface between business, government and development needs. As a Director for APCO China, Liza advised global companies, across a wide range of sectors, on government relations and sustainability strategies.
  • Sustainable supply chains; as a Board Member of the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) and Director of Supply Chains at sustainability consultancy Corporate Citizenship, Liza worked with global retailers and FMCG companies such as Mars, Kraft, Cadbury, Unilever and Diageo on sustainable supply chain strategies.
  • Small-holder farmers; as Executive Director of the Intelligence Centre for Sustainable Markets (CIMS) Liza worked with clients such as Nespresso, Walmart, Rainforest Alliance and Fairtrade USA to assess the impact of certification on cotton, coffee and cocoa smallholder supply chains. As Director of Global Markets and Innovation at CottonConnect, she worked with retail clients on farm-focused interventions in China’s cotton supply chains.
  • Training and multi-stakeholder engagement; her previous roles as Private Sector Advisor for Save the Children UK, Corporate Citizenship, CIMS and advisor to the UNDP’s Green Commodities Programme have given her an in-depth understanding of the respective needs and constraints of corporate, NGO and academic organisations, particularly in developing markets. She has facilitated workshops, training programmes, stakeholder and partnership consultations in Latin America, China, India, Singapore and Indonesia.

Liza is based in the UK and is fluent in English, Mandarin and Spanish.
